Welcome to Casa Sommer (House Sommer)
Originally built in 1850, Casa Sommer is a Transylvanian-Saxon style house with a vaulted cellar and mezzanine floor. Casa Sommer is located in the center of Petersdorf (Petrești), near the Evangelical Church, across the street from the popular Restaurant Casa Simy.
Relax in the spacious courtyard under the shade of the 150-year-old pear tree. Recreate in the cozy beds until the first cockcrow in a rural idyll. Enjoy breakfast with an excellent coffee and then explore the area with its numerous sights.
Cozy rooms with air conditioning
The Pension Casa Sommer has 15 bright accommodations (spread over 2 buildings) consisting on one hand of large rooms and on the other hand of apartments, all with private bathrooms. There is also a dining room for 20 people. The apartments are equipped with a kitchenette, ideal for families.
Green courtyard with barbecue area
The courtyard invites you to linger in the shade of the pergola, where you can also enjoy your breakfast or coffee on warm days. The porch swing is an attraction for young and old. In the evening you can have a barbecue with friends in the courtyard.
In addition, the pension has its own space for doing the laundry, which can also be used by the guests.
Breakfast with regional products
After a good night rest, we await you for breakfast in the dining room with TV or outside in the courtyard, depending on the weather and your wishes. Among other things, we serve products from our own garden, house eggs and jam from our own production. Of course we will also spoil you with a really good coffee.
Restaurant across the pension
Opposite the pension you can enjoy traditional Romanian dishes in the well-known and popular Restaurant Casa Simy. For shopping of daily needs you can find the shop Magazinul Lazar with food and non-food products (cosmetics, clothes, PayPoint and Western Union services, etc.) just 300m from the pension.
Free WiFi and parking
All rooms of the guesthouse are equipped with free WiFi. Some of them have TV-devices.
In addition, if you arrive by car, you can park for free in the courtyard or in front of the guest house. Casa Sommer has several parking spaces of its own.
Perfect location on the way to the mountains
